Definition

Measuring residents’ satisfaction with the overall service of local authorities over the entire administrative area and operations

Justification

Good services by local authorities to the entire administrative and operational areas can be measured by residents’ satisfaction.

Based on the Star Rating System for Local Authorities (SRS-PBT) , there are 10 core services offered by a local authority, namely : -
1 . Implementation of licensing policy and control of businesses;
2 . Planning;
3 . Building Controls;
4 . Valuation and Property Managements;
5 . Traffic Management and Parking;
6 . Landscape Maintenance;
7 . Project Planning and Implementation;
8 . Laws and Enforcement;
9 . Control and Prevention of Communicable Diseases, and

10. Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing.

Local residents’ satisfaction with local authorities’ services depends on the efficiency and effectiveness of a given local authority in delivering services.
