Definition

Satisfaction level of individuals in their daily lives and surroundings

Justification

Happiness Index is a general measure of the population’s level of well-being that embraces mental and physical health. Everybody has a different level of perception and assessment of their local environment and factors such as feeling safe, life satisfaction, adequacy of facilities provided by the government, administrative efficiency and the like.

Accordingly, this indicator will help toidentify the level of happiness and well-being of the population. Happiness index can be identified through observation and interviews. Happiness index components include psychological well-being, viable community, cultural diversity and resilience, health, education, ecological diversity, quality of life and the efficiency of administration.
