IT1-P1 Water Consumption

IT1-P1 The Volume of Daily Domestic Water Consumption per capita
Definition

Measuring the volume of daily domestic water consumption per capita in the area during the year

Justification

The water consumption rate recommended by the United Nations for each individual is 165 litres per day. However, water consumption in Malaysia is a total of 226 litres of water per day compare to people in Singapore (155 litres) and Thailand at about 90 litres per day.

Conscientious daily domestic water used by individual households is very important to guarantee the sustainability of continued water supply in the future. Low volume of water usage is sustainable.
